Fashion can be very time consuming and very complicated. While I always envy the girl that has the perfect bag, shoes and jewelry for every outfit, I learned a long time ago that I don't have the time nor the budget to be that girl.
So, when it comes to fashion, I've opted to stick with the basics.
- Find a few good pieces of jewelry. I wear the same watch and bracelet every day and I have a very simple necklace and some basic diamond earings. They are all silver so they can easily be paired with other pieces and I wear them all to bed so I don't have to spend time putting them on again every morning. If you have extra cash, I'd recommend investing in a few key pieces from Tiffany's.
- Pick a purse that goes with everything. I have a total of 2 bags that I use regularly. A basic dark bag for the fall/winter and generally a light gray bag for the spring/summer. They match everything and they hide dirt well! If you have extra cash, I'd recommend investing in a Louis Vuitton bag. It will work for all seasons and will last forever. Long term it's very economical.
By sticking to the basics when it comes to jewelry and bags you will save time. You won't have to put jewelry on a off every day and you won't have to swap purses for each outfit. Plus, by buying a few nice pieces, will you may not be a total fashion plate but you will always look pretty damn good!
