This great chic I used to work with, Colleen McGarry told me about this and I forgot about it until just now!
Pre-paid Parking Meter Cards. Yes, you heard me. You can buy these pre-paid cards, swipe them into the parking meter and pay for your parking. I just bought two of them online here. And while this link is specific to San Francisco, in doing a quick google search it looks like a bunch of other cities have them as well!
So this card is going to help me save money and time in two ways.
- SAVE MONEY: When I don't have enough change I either chance it and typically get an expensive parking ticket or I end up parking in a lot which is always costs more.
- SAVE TIME: I typically lose time by rummaging through my bag looking for change and when I can't find it, I end up circling the block looking for a parking lot.
I should get my cool new card in a few days. I can't wait to try it out!
