We were at our Tahoe place this weekend where we got over 20 inches of snow. This served as the inspiration this tip. I must give my friend Jon full credit for this one.
Before it snows, lift your windshield wipers up. If you lift your wipers so they are sticking up, away from your window, the ice won't stick to them and it will be a lot quicker and easier to get snow off of your windshield.
Jon and I both lived in Minnesota for 30 years and neither of us ever learned this trick until he moved to Colorado and me to California. So to all of my Minnesota friends, give this a shot, it's really slick!
